What does the Option Scanner hand back?
A ranked table of real trades you could put on right now. Every row carries the symbol, strategy, strikes, expiration, stock price, and trade price, plus the analytics we rank on: D%, F%, S%, days to close, reward-to-risk, and POP%. Select a row to see its payoff diagram, send it to your broker, or open it in the Trade Builder.
How many symbols can I scan at once?
Up to 25 at a time, drawn from over 5,000 stocks, ETFs, and indexes. You do not have to type them in: run a stock scan first, say every name reporting earnings this week, and push those tickers straight into the option scan.
Which strategies can it scan for?
Bullish, bearish, and neutral, from single legs and verticals through calendars, butterflies, and condors. If none of the presets fit, build a custom scan with your own legs, delta targets, DTE bands, and strike-width relationships.
How does the ranking work?
You set it. Each analytic column gets its own weighting slider, so a trader hunting theoretical edge can lean on S% while someone selling premium leans on POP%. Change the weights and the table re-ranks against the results you already have, with no second scan.
Is it scanning live quotes or delayed ones?
Real-time data comes with every Trading Tools subscription, but you have to sign the OPRA and Cboe agreements first. Click the orange “Get live data” link at the top of the dashboard, or go to dashboard.orats.com/live-data. Until then the quotes run 15 minutes behind the market.
Can I run these scans from code?
Yes. The Option Scanner API runs the same engine and returns the same ranked candidates as JSON, for $99 per month on top of any ORATS data API plan. That is a separate purchase from this $99 dashboard subscription; see the Data API page.
What does the Option Scanner cost?
It is included in ORATS Trading Tools at $99 per month for an individual license ($199 per user per month for a professional license), alongside every other tool on the platform, from the backtesters and scanners to Otto, real-time data, and broker connections.
