Trade Ideas, answered.
Where do the trade ideas come from?
Backtests, not opinions. We rank the 300+ million precomputed backtests across every symbol and strategy by return on risk, keep only the ones whose entry triggers match today’s environment (VIX, moving averages, 14-day RSI, IV percentile, slope percentile), then scan the live chain for the best trade in each of those strategies by POP%, reward-to-risk, and theoretical edge.
How often do they update?
Through the day. The environment filter and the option scan both re-run, so the list reflects the market as it is now rather than a snapshot from the open.
Can I filter them or run my own?
Both. Filter the curated list to bullish, bearish, or neutral, or deploy your own strategy and entry indicators and let the system scan continuously for options that match, ranked the same way.
Do I get to see the track record behind an idea?
Yes, and you should look. Every idea links back to the backtest that produced it, with its full historical performance, so you can check the drawdown and the trade log before deciding whether the win rate means anything.
Is this financial advice?
No. ORATS is a data and analytics provider, not a broker or an advisor. Trade Ideas are historical research output, not a recommendation, and past backtested performance does not tell you what a trade will do next.
