Get the ORATS Data API, Quick Start
Quick start for getting the ORATS Data API giving you access to current and historical volatility, options chain, skew and much more.
Learn how to get started using the ORATS Data API by signing up for a reduced fee trial, then accessing the API using either a programming language or an Excel sheet. Pricing for various levels of the API is available on the ORATS website, along with more explanations of ORATS data and stories on the blog.
Here's how to get started using the ORATS Data API.
Go to this link for a reduced fee trial. This free trial requires a credit card but we will send you an alert email before the trial is up so you can cancel without being charged. You will receive a user token. Email support if you need help with the token.
There are two ways to access the Data API, a) using a programming language like Python and b) using Excel sheet we designed that you can download and use.
If you are using a programming language you can see the documentation here.
If you would like to try the Excel version, follow these steps:
- Download the Excel sheet here.
- Click the Get Data button and you will be asked for your user token (see above).
